Classic Endgame in WoW

August 24th, 2008 by Robbie

I am at level fifty-five with my priest, and I find it truly maddening how much the originall endgame to WoW sucks now that we have Outland. The high level zones are deserted, when tey were obviously designed to be swarming with capped characters. The quests are mostly fairly difficult to solo, especiallly for Priests, they’re all over the world so I waste a lot of time flying, and all my friends are in Outland getting phat loot and having fun in their clown costumes. Waah me.

Review: Graceling

Graceling

by Kristin Cashore

  • Hardcover: 480 pages
  • Publisher: Harcourt Children’s Books [October 1, 2008]
  • Entry Level: 15
  • ISBN-10: 015206396X

This is my new favorite book. Ever. Kristin Cashore has written an imaginitive and epic journey that redfinies the genre of fantasy.

The story is set in the Seven Kingdoms of Nander, Sunder, Estill, Wester, Middluns, Lienid, and Monsea. Some people in the kingdoms develop a special Grace, or supernatural talent for something, ranging from running extremely fast to baking to mind reading. The protagonist, Katsa, is exceptionally good at killing people. Her uncle, King Randa of the Midluns, uses Katsa as his hired assassin, until one day Katsa meets Prince Po of Lienid, and her world is thrown into imbalance and adventure. The true focus of the book isn’t hardly anything to do with what I have described, but I cannot tell you more without ruining the excellent twists, which abound at every turn.
